Our LE series devices support the downloading of DDD files from G2V2 tachographs.<\/h3>\n

The new generation of tachographs, known as second-generation intelligent tachographs (G2V2), introduces a range of advanced features designed to improve road safety and driver working conditions. Key innovations include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Increased Memory Capacity: The new tachographs can store more data, allowing for a longer retention period and more accurate analysis.<\/li>\n
  • Automatic Boundary Crossing Registration: Thanks to the integrated GNSS system, tachographs automatically record entry and exit times when crossing country borders, simplifying driver delegation and working time settlements.<\/li>\n
  • Remote Communication: The built-in DSRC module allows authorities to remotely read data from the device without the need to stop the vehicle, speeding up and streamlining roadside checks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The introduction of these devices is associated with new regulations regarding their installation in vehicles. The mandatory installation schedule for G2V2 tachographs is as follows:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • By December 31, 2024: Vehicles registered before June 15, 2019, equipped with analog or first-generation digital tachographs, must be upgraded to second-generation intelligent tachographs.<\/li>\n
    • By August 18, 2025: Vehicles registered between June 15, 2019, and August 20, 2023, equipped with first-generation intelligent tachographs, must also transition to the second version.<\/li>\n
    • From July 1, 2026: The requirement to install tachographs will also apply to vans with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) between 2.5 and 3.5 tons, used in international freight transport within the EU. Vehicles used in domestic transport will remain exempt from this obligation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      It is important to note that the introduction of new tachographs requires training for drivers and technical personnel on their use.
